Every time in Monte Gordo, I choose this place. I have just returned from a REALLY NICE stay in this traditional hotel, well-appointed rooms. The room is reasonably priced. The employees are all lovely friendly and amazingly friendly.

Hotel was okay for 3 stars, as well as the food. The location is very good, directly on the long sandy beach.
It was immediately apparent that it was a sanatorium for English and Dutch pensioners. At 50 you were one of the youngest guests.

Nice beach
This was like a 1970's time-warp without any renovations. The room was dreadful - on the fifth floor and the bathroom drains stunk. When we arrived the floor had been freshly mopped with bleach but as that smell receded the smell from the drains made you retch. The sunbeds were old and tatty, the pool small and the food average. We only stayed for one night at short notice and the €150 rate was outrageous.
